I went to Bina after a trip to India wrecked my stomach/intestines for 1 year +. After about $6k worth of tests from my regular doctor that gave me nothing other than $5k in bills not covered by insurance, Idecided to give Chinese medicine a shot. I went for a few rounds of acupuncture and herbs and it totally helped. I wish I’d found Bina many months earlier! — Bernadette J.

Chinese Medicine

Berkeley AcupunctureChinese Medicine is a 3,500-year-old-system of medicine that can be used to address a variety of ailments from minor imbalances to chronic conditions. It is based on the belief that the human body is in a dynamic state of balance both internally and with the outside world. If this equilibrium is disturbed then we can become sick.

Our body’s balance can be upset by emotions such as anger, sadness or grief or by the food we eat or the environment we live in. Some of us are born with a weak constitution and many of us overwork and become depleted. All these factors can cause minor imbalances, which, if left untreated, can become more serious pathologies.

The goal of Chinese Medicine is to achieve physical, mental and spiritual balance.   At the Berkeley Acupuncture Center/Bina Jangda Acupuncture, my patients and I become a team that works with all 5 branches of Chinese Medicine, Diet/Nutrition, Exercise, Lifestyle, Herbs and Acupuncture to help achieve this balance.
